Syed Muhammad. Jalal is a seasoned security professional having vast experience of 38 years + in working initially in military service and later in corporate & private sector.

He retired as a Lt Colonel in Pakistan Army in 2010. He had a special honour to serve firstly in his father’s unit (1st Battalion The Sind Regiment) and later voluntarily in the Elite Special Service Group (SSG).

Col Jalal (a.k.a CJ) is a recipient of the coveted Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Military) which was awarded in recognition of his meritorious service and dedication to duty for 27 years in Pak Army.

Post retirement from the outset, he was fortunate to join prestigious Syngenta Pakistan Ltd as Country Security Manager. The position was reporting to APAC (Asia Pacific) Regional in Singapore. CJ acquired immense experience and skill in working with foreign security professionals in corporate security in transforming best practices in Pakistan.

Further joined Pakistan’s leading conglomerate Engro Corporation Ltd in 2014 as Senior Security Advisor and later as Senior Manager Security Operations dealing with multifarious security related issues esp. w.r.t conducting physical security audits of all Engro facilities and arranging security awareness sessions etc. of all its affiliates/subsidiaries dealing in various industries of power & energy, FMCG, chemical, telecom, agri-business, fertilizer, digital, LNG and port terminal services.

CJ while serving in Corporate Sector for almost 14 years was privileged to establish security departments in Syngenta and Engro Corp; indeed a unique honour and achievement.

CJ had been an enthusiast Tennis player at National Juniors’ level and remained part of Army Tennis Team represented Inter Services Championships and National Games. He is also an accomplished swimmer and a qualified Operational/SCUBA Diver
